Echo Divers is a small SSI dive centre in Mae Haad, a short walk from the ferry pier. The centre focuses on calm, personal diving, with small groups, modern equipment and step-by-step teaching aimed at helping divers build confidence in the water.
As an SSI training centre, Echo runs courses from first-time dives through the standard recreational certifications, taught by a small team of instructors with experience on Koh Tao and elsewhere. The emphasis is on unhurried training rather than moving large numbers of students through at once.
The centre works closely with Echo Hostel across the road, so diving, accommodation and island life can be arranged together in one place, making it a straightforward base for travellers combining a course with a stay in Mae Haad.
