Ban’s Diving Resort opened on Koh Tao in 1993 and has grown into one of the largest dive resorts on the island, centrally located on Sairee Beach within walking distance of the shops, cafes and bars along the beachfront. It is a PADI 5 Star Career and Instructor Development Centre and is recognised as one of the most certifying dive centres in the world.
The resort offers the full range of PADI courses, from the Discover Scuba Diving experience and Open Water certification through to Advanced, Rescue, Divemaster and Instructor level. Freediving, snorkelling, technical diving and adaptive diving programmes are also available, along with kids courses such as the PADI Bubblemaker for younger visitors. Daily boat trips run to sites including Chumphon Pinnacle and Sail Rock.
Accommodation on site ranges from air-conditioned dorms and fan rooms to mid-range rooms and villas, with several swimming pools across the grounds. The resort runs an on-site eco centre and has replaced single-use plastics across its restaurants as part of its green tourism programme.
